MIHE Open Day - Wednesday 20 April 2011

The Markfield Institute of Higher Education (MIHE) has been offering academic programmes and tailor-made training courses for the last 10 years in the fields of Finance, Banking, Economics, Chaplaincy, and inter-faith relations to address and engage with the contemporary society.

The upcoming MIHE Open Day aims to showcase MIHE’s courses where hundreds of prospective students from across the UK will get a taste of the student life at MIHE from 11.00am until 1.30pm on Wednesday 20th April 2011.

The Director of MIHE, Mr Irshad Baqui said: “This is an ideal opportunity for prospective students to visit the Institute with their families and have an informal look round.   Each of the curriculum subjects will be represented by both lecturers and students to provide an all round picture of life studying at Markfield”.  He further added: “We hope that the open day will help students to choose a place to live and study for the next few years. Students and their families will be getting their first glimpse of campus life whilst our staff will be meeting and greeting some of our potential future students.”

During the event visitors will get a chance to chat to staff and students about life at MIHE, tour the campus, look at the facilities, and most importantly get a taste of what it is like to study an MA degree or undertake research at MIHE. Students will also have the opportunity to have one-to-one conversations with the Admission staff and Tutors. It will include a chance to find out about general student issues such as accommodation, finance, student life etc.

Visitors can contact MIHE via email info@mihe.org.uk or telephone 01530 244922 in order attend the MIHE open day.
