Research at MIHE

MIHE as a specialist Islamic higher education institution has pioneered the scholarly and academic study of Islam and the historical  and contemporary expressions of Muslim faith across diverse social and cultural settings.  MIHE’s innovative contributions to the establishment of academic disciplines such as Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking and Finance and its work on interfaith relations have been widely recognised. In collaboration with its partner Universities, initially the University of Portsmouth and then the University of Loughborough, MIHE has offered PG research degrees.
